We've had a very good experience working with Cristian at Sothern Home Remodeling. They helped us with a complicated outdoor project that involved siding, wall framining/structure, and drainage issues. Cristian was very knowledgable, flexible, and provided helpful education/recommendations. Despite our project scope and timeline changing, Cristian was understanding, communicative, and professional. He is very responsive, we found that we could trust his word, and he provided a lot of reassurance to us as we navigated repairs on a difficult project. We found his prices to be higher, but reflective of the professional, high quality work throughout the project. We reached out to SHR when the bathtub in our secondary bathroom sprang a leak. We had always imagined that eventually we would convert the tub to a walk-in shower as my mother lives with us. The leak just sped up our timeline :) Luckily, SHR was able to schedule the project to start within a week of the initial consultation and estimate. They let us know where to pick out the tile and fixtures, which made the process super easy. The tiler did absolutely gorgeous work and their cleaners post-project went above and beyond putting our bathroom back in usable working order. We now have a beautiful walk-in shower that will work for my mom as she ages and I could not be happier with how it looks. ~ Liz S

Jake was extremely responsive and I was able to send him pictures of my issue over text. But we discovered my problem exceeded our current budget since we moved into our house recently. However, Jake did not end the call there like most people would when they heard they would not be getting paid. He talked to me and my wife for nearly half an hour on the phone and gave us so many great tips on how we could get the job done ourselves... along with the products we needed and where to get them. We were not actual clients of Southern Home Remodeling but they treated us like family anyways and we are extremely grateful. ~ Spencer D

Chris and his people were timely and considerate. I renovated both my guest and master bathroom. The master had a big jacuzzi tub that was used only once. The bathroom had no cabinets for towels and such. Everything was demolished and hauled away. I picked the tiles, fixtures and vanities. Afterwards they cleaned and removed all debris. Everyone of his crew, plumbers, electricians and tile installer all did an excellent job and couldn't be happier with the results and was within my budget. If I had other renovations I would, without hesitation, contact Chris. Also added the heated and backlighting mirrors! ~ Kevin C

We used Southern Home Remodeling for a luxurious spa master bathroom remodel. I first put out requests to 3 different companies. I now have a beautifully, remodeled master bath, specifically designed for 'aging in place'. We changed the foot print of our master by getting rid of the old tub and replacing it with this 6ft. by 4 ft. walk in shower. We got rid of the large window and replaced it with the privacy window. You can't see it in these pictures, but we had Southern Home Remodeling make us an additional linen closet in the spot where we had a 3 ft. by 3 ft shower. We are thrilled with the results. I’ve worked with Southern Home Remodeling twice for bathroom renovations. Both times, I’ve been impressed with their project management and quality of work. Before they start, a project manager will visit and send an itemized quotes for the work you describe along with budgets for things like tile selection and hardware. Communication is great with SHR. I’ve always known when their crews were scheduled to arrive and if there would be any schedule changes in advance. They use plastic coverings and paper to help keep things clean and even send cleaners afterwards to ensure you’re getting a ready to use remodel the day they finish. Both bathroom projects took a couple weeks to complete with crews coming in nearly daily. The demo team in both projects have gotten a bit overzealous and damaged nearby cabinets or dry wall. In both cases, SHR made the repairs covered under the original quote. Working with Southern Home Remodeling is all around an excellent experience, so what are you waiting for? ~ Ben S

Christian and his workmen did a great job of remodeling my master bathroom to make it safer for this 85-year-old. It turned out just as I hoped it would, giving me a safe and beautiful space. After we purchased a home the shower leaked and destroyed our bathroom and adjacent bedroom. Southern Home Remodeling not only repaired the damage, they helped us redesign our bathroom and we now have our dream shower. They explained the process throughly, included pricing that included all the materials and shower fixtures, and since they were so through we did not have any change orders. If you're looking for high-end bathroom remodeling in Arlington, don't waste your time with the big box companies. We live over in Euless, right by the Texas Star Golf Course, and it took us forever to find someone who actually understood the technical requirements for a residential steamer. Unlike other Arlington contractors who never call back or seem confused by the plumbing needs of a steam unit, Cristian from Southern Home Remodeling was an absolute pro. He walked us through the entire specialized waterproofing membrane process to ensure our studs would stay dry, which was my biggest concern. The installation of the frameless glass enclosure was precise—it has to be perfect to keep that steam in, and the fit and finish are flawless. They even helped us pick a stone tile that wouldn't get too slippery when wet. It’s rare to find a team that handles both the heavy-duty construction and the aesthetic details so well. The communication was great throughout, which is a miracle in the DFW contracting world. This is the second time we have used Southern Home Remodeling and again very pleased with the outcome. Last year we had a complete new walk in shower install. After a year we are still impressed with the quality. This year we called them to install an outside vent for our new over the range microwave, again excellent work. Highly Recommend! They converted about 800-900 sqft of attic space into a theater and office for us. My experience with Southern Home Remodeling was very positive. Scope of work was a mix between framing, sheetrock, masonry, and baseboard work as well as glass replacement.
